Noun এর বিকল্পে বা পরিবর্তে যা ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাই pronoun।

Pronoun এর বিস্তারিত আলোচনা
- Personal Pronoun: ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর নামের পরিবর্তে Personal Pronoun বসে।
- উদাহরণ- I cook it. He cooks it.
- Distributive Pronoun: অনেকের মধ্যে কোনো একটিকে আলাদা করে বুঝালে, তাই Distributive Pronoun.
- উদাহরণ- Each of the students wants to do well in the examination. Each day is different.
- Reciprocal Pronoun: পরস্পর প্রতিক্রিয়াশীল Noun এর পরিবর্তে যে Pronoun বসে, তাকে Reciprocal Pronoun বলে।
- উদাহরণ- The five students congratulated each other. The two sisters co-operate with one another.
- Interrogative Pronoun: কোনো প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা করতে যে Pronoun ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাই Interrogative pronoun.
- উদাহরণ- Whose book is this? What will you do? Who are you?
- Reflexive Pronoun: যে Pronoun এর মাধ্যমে subject দ্বারা কৃতকাজ subject এর দিকে ফিরে যাওয়া নির্দেশ করে, তা Reflexive Pronoun নামে পরিচিত। সাধারণত Self/Selves - Suffix যুক্ত করে Reflexive Pronoun গঠিত হয়।
- উদাহরণ- You know yourself better than anyone else. He killed himself. I saw myself in the water.
- Relative Pronoun: কোনো Noun বা Pronoun কে নির্দেশ করে দুটি বাক্যের সংযোগ ঘটাতে যে Pronoun ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাকে Relative Pronoun বলে। এগুলো Interrogative pronoun এ প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসায় ব্যবহার করা হয়।
